Privacy Policy
The short version: We do not store your insurance documents. Your document is processed in real time, personal details are removed before the AI sees it, and nothing is saved after the analysis is complete. We use privacy-friendly analytics and Google AdSense. No account, no login, no tracking profile.
1. Who We Are
PolicySaaf (policysaaf.com) is a free AI-powered tool that helps Indian citizens understand their insurance and loan policy documents in plain language. We are not an insurance company, broker, or legal advisor.
2. What Data We Collect
PolicySaaf is designed to collect as little data as possible. Here is exactly what happens:
- Your document (PDF or pasted text) is sent to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection for processing only.
- Before the document text is sent to the AI, our system automatically removes personal identifiers such as your name, Aadhaar number, PAN number, phone number, and vehicle registration.
- The analysis result is returned to your browser. We do not store the document, the extracted text, or the analysis result on our servers.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, or any account information. No login is required.
3. Technical Logs
Like all web servers, our servers may record standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, request path, browser type). These logs are used solely for diagnosing technical problems and monitoring service health. They are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are not linked to your document uploads.
4. Analytics
We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-first analytics platform, to understand how many people visit PolicySaaf and which features are used. Umami does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sessions, and does not share data with third parties. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
PolicySaaf displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is standard behaviour for any website using AdSense.

6. AI Processing
Document analysis is powered by a large language model (LLM). The text sent to the LLM has already had personal identifiers removed as described in Section 2. We use a reputable third-party AI provider. Their data processing terms apply to the anonymised text we send. We do not share any identifying information with the AI provider.
7. Cookies
PolicySaaf itself does not set any cookies for tracking or identification purposes. Google AdSense may set cookies on your device for ad personalisation. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
PolicySaaf is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this service and you have a concern, please contact us.
9. Data Security
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We do not store insurance documents or analysis results, which limits the risk of any data breach. Our servers are hosted with reputable cloud providers that maintain appropriate physical and technical security controls.
10. Your Rights Under Indian Law
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) gives you certain rights regarding your personal data. Since PolicySaaf does not store personal data beyond transient server logs, most requests will result in confirmation that no data is held. You may contact us to:
- Ask what information (if any) we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of any data we hold.
- Withdraw any consent you have given.
11. Third-Party Links
PolicySaaf may reference or link to third-party websites such as igms.irda.gov.in (IRDAI grievance portal) and LinkedIn. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PolicySaaf after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy. We will not make material changes without giving reasonable notice.
